here is a huge amount to do at Château Les Carrasses, both on and off the estate. We organise various activities and programmes throughout the year. To find out about any upcoming events please see our blog or register for our newsletter by contacting us here.

Sporting Facilities
We have great sporting facilities at Chateau Les Carrasses. The estate sports a beautiful, newly-laid clay tennis court, a beach volleyball court, and two boules courts. In all cases, good quality equipment is provided. We have a dozen or so good quality bikes which are free for our guests to use.

Personal Trainers
One of the downsides of a holiday in France is that all that delicious food can take its toll on the waistline. To combat this, we can provide a personal trainer, who will take you in hand for the duration of your stay, as little or as often as you like, as gentle or as intensive! For more details on personal training at Château Les Carrasses, click here.

Kids' Facilities

Children are welcome at Château Les Carrasses. During July and August we run the Kids’ Club 5 days a week, with qualified, friendly staff and a wide range of fun events, with the emphasis on outdoor, nature, creative and sporting activities.

We also have a panel of reliable babysitters who will come and babysit in your property.

Activities and Courses
We organise various activities and courses throughout the year. Generally centered on Food, Wine, Culture or Nature, these range from one-off half-day to full-week courses, and are typically very relaxed, informal affairs, with small numbers of participants. To find out what is on when you are planning to visit, or view any upcoming activities, check back on the site regularly.

AWAY FROM THE CHATEAU:

Sporting Activities

The immediate area hosts just about every sporting activity imaginable. Our host and his team will be happy to help you organize any activities you would like to try, though for more “complicated” activities, please try to let us know in advance. Available in the immediate area are:

  • Great sea, coarse and fly fishing (guides available)
  • Excellent hiking, hill walking and rock climbing
  • Shooting, archery
  • All types of water sports, including sailing, kite and windsurfing, kayaking
  • Superb horse riding, with several stables close by

Golf

With so much sunshine and spectacular natural landscapes, the Languedoc is a great place for Golf. There are four courses within an hour of the Chateau and you can buy a ‘golf pass’ of three rounds for €150. At the Château we have two sets of decent quality clubs (one men’s, one women’s) which are available for free to guests. For a guide to Languedoc golf, click here.
