uilt in 1886 on the foundations of a rest stop on the pilgrim Route de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, Les Carrasses resonates with history. Around two main courtyards, linked by a central avenue are the buildings traditionally found on an important wine domain: the château, the winery and cellars, the blacksmith’s house, stables, forge and granary and the estate cottages, all of which have been transformed into a truly special holiday estate.  Beyond these exceptional suites, apartments, houses and villas, you’ll find a great range of facilities.

The Gardens
Most of the properties at Château Les Carrasses have a private garden or terrace. Beyond these private enclaves, 10 acres of gardens, vines, woods and ‘garrigue’ await discovery.

The Salon & Terraces
The Salon is the heart and soul of the Château. Once the building where the grapes were brought after harvest, the Salon now hosts the concierge area, the lounge, the boutique, and indoor brasserie dining.

The Boutique
Just inside the Salon is a bijou boutique where Anita operates a strict “beautiful or useful, preferably both” policy. Here you’ll find elegant French tableware, swimwear, sun hats and bags and jewellery, alongside the best of local artisan foods, wine accessories and other little pleasures and conveniences.

The Summer Kitchen, Barbecue and Boulodrome
To the west beside the kids hut is this lovely social spot - a large barbecue station with tables and chairs and all the equipment needed for an easy cook out. Beside the summer kitchen are two floodlit boules courts, where you’re free to while away a couple of lazy hours – balls provided of course.

The Orangerie
In the main entrance courtyard is a magnificent Orangerie, rumored to have been designed by Gustave Eiffel, the ideal place to relax with a magazine. We have subscriptions to a selection of the best which are available complimentary to guests.

The Main Pool (heated April 1 - Oct 31)
The magnificent infinity pool measures a generous 20 by 8 metres, and features an interior ledge, massage jets and a “plage immergée” for lounging in the water. Around the pool is a roomy (600m²) sun terrace with hot tub, stylish loungers and cocktail area. All-day poolside service ensures you never go thirsty.

The Tennis Court
Neatly bordered by cypress trees, our clay court is a pleasure to play. Championship size, the court is free to use for guests (with the exception of the floodlights, for which a small charge is payable). We also provide good-quality racquets and balls, free of charge.

Free broadband Wi-Fi
Should the call of real life get the better of you, we offer (free) broadband Wi-Fi in all our properties as well as in communal areas. You'll even be able to gain access in the garden - so you can surf while you sunbathe. For those who have wisely left their gadgets at home, a couple of iPads are available for essential surfing.

Sound & Vision

All of our suites, apartments, houses and villas come equipped with iPod and Soundock. The iPod has been loaded with classic albums and selected playlists, complied by the team in collaboration with specialists AudioSushi.

Each holiday suite, apartment and villa has at least one flat-screen TV and DVD player, with a full range of French, English and German TNT/Freeview channels. We also have a large DVD library, with titles to suit all tastes.
