Château Les Carrasses was built in 1886 and produced wine continuously until 1988, when the vineyards were sold off. In 2011, following the sale and renovation, the estate was reunited with its original vines. Today our wines are made at our nearby sister winery, Domaine de Cibadiès, a couple of kilometres from Les Carrasses.
(IGP PAYS D’OC)
The Les Carrasses range of wines feature a smooth, elegant syrah, a zesty and fresh unoaked chardonnay, and a fruity pinot noir rosé.
Our flagship La Serre wines are made with specially selected grapes of exceptional quality, with almost the entire production sold directly at Les Carrasses. The white is an elegant blend of Grenache blanc, Vermentino, Marsanne and Viognier. La Serre red is a smooth and sophisticated mix of Syrah and Grenache aged in oak barrels for 11 months.
Founded in 1870, family run Vignobles Bonfils is the largest independent wine company in France, with an established track record of injecting oenological expertise and marketing know-how to transform struggling Châteaux and Estates. The family now has a portfolio of 23 award winning estates – principally in the Languedoc but also in Bordeaux and Spain.
